Gigantic Facebook avatar by HHX Gigantic Facebook avatar by HHX
With this Psd file you are able to easily create a huge avatar for facebook.

Just follow these steps:

:bulletorange: Open the Psd.
:bulletorange: Create a new layer with the picture you want to use below "Layer 1"
:bulletorange: Arrange the picture.
:bulletorange: Select every of the 6 photos and save them seperately. (Correct sizes are 180x540px and 97x68px)

The last step is to upload the big image as avatar and the 5 small ones into your gallery at facebook.
To let the 5 small ones appear on your profile, tag yourself on the 5 pictures, beginning with the one that belongs on the right side.

I hope it's easy to understand.
If not, just ask. :)

The original idea is not mine.

its the same thing:
get your picture
make 6 layers
crop to erase the rest of the picture for each section (the profile pic, & the fb banner tags).
Then just tag from last to first & you've got it!

Hey how do I upload the large 180x540 image. Every time I try a message pops up saying "Your picture is too tall or too wide." "Try to pick something closer to a square."

Update: It actually only worked for my own view of the profile. For others to see it this way, I had to set each of the 6 images as a profile picture in turn. Tagging myself wasn’t enough.

I was confused by what your instructions meant, but i made my own way of doing it anyways.
Heres what I did:

I dragged in my picture into the psd window
Clicked yes on the thing that said do you want to place
I placed it under the green layer and turned the green opacity to 50%
Position
Right click mask > Add mask to selection
Select photo layer
Right click on picture and new layer from copy

I then cut each one out.

I love it! Looks cool on my profile!

The layer "Mask" in the psd is an empty layer with a layermask.
This mask should be used to make the picture visible at the right place.
So you can simply put your picture in, put the mask on top and arrange the picture layer like you want,
without dragging the mask. (Although you drag around the picture itself, the area where it's displayed stays the same.)

Cool that you like it. :)
